Susan Day

CEO

As the CEO of Connect Solutions Group, there is always a new challenge around the corner! Connect is a rapidly expanding business and so every day brings a new opportunity or a new experience to be had. I spent 15 years working within mainstream secondary schools, holding a variety of management positions.

These roles involved working in curriculum development and providing for students with additional needs. I have since gained the Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (QTVI) qualification and still spend time working with young people who have visual impairment.

I am very proud of the business and the way that we have made a difference to many lives, either directly or indirectly through our partnerships. Recently I have particularly enjoyed being involved in the development of assistive technology to promote independent learning within schools at a national level.

I am a Board Member at UKAAF – UK Association of Accessible Formats, and lead the Exams Subject Area here. I am also a member of the Access Consultation Group at Ofqual, and contribute to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Skills and Employment (APGSE), All-Party Parliamentary Group for Assistive Technology and the All Party Parliamentary Group on SEND at Westminster.

Finally, I am involved with the Department for Work and Pensions on a national task group.
