Safeguarding can be defined as the policies and procedures that ensure that children and vulnerable adults are protected from abuse and neglect.
Since the introduction of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, all organisations that come into contact with children and vulnerable adults should have policies and procedures in place. This includes voluntary and community organisations, faith groups and private sectors providers, as well as schools, hospitals and sports clubs.
C-Live supports care and health providers with continued professional development and initial training to aid them in providing a person-centred, outcome-based approach.
C-Live can place the trainee into a scenario where they are able to learn the skills and techniques required to support and extract factual details from upset, frightened and even unwell people who need support to end abuse and neglect.
